Lawyers for former FBI director James Comey allege that law enforcement used ChatGPT and a mafia killer to justify criminal charges against him. The US Department of Justice charged Mr Comey in April over a post showing seashells spelling "8647", which it claimed threatened Donald Trump's life. In a court filing in North Carolina, Mr Comey's defence team said Secret Service agents illegally tracked him while Mr Trump requested regular updates on the case. They are seeking to dismiss the indictment, arguing it is a vindictive prosecution aimed at punishing protected speech.
